The Holmatro team are one of the most experienced on the eXtreme 40 circuit, having competed since the class’s outset. This team has the only woman skipper in the eXtreme 40 2008-2009 Grand Prix Series: Carolijn Brouwer. Carolijn is used to competing against the boys, having just returned from the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, where she represented Belgium in the mostly male Tornado catamaran class. She is joined by the hugely experienced cat sailor Andreas Hagara, and crew Mark van Gelderen and Gerb Habermueller, who have all been competing in the eXtreme 40 class this season.
